4-Ingredient Orange Julius Recipe (5-Minute)

This 4-Ingredient Orange Julius Recipe takes only 5 minutes. It’s frothy, cool, and supremely delicious! Tastes just like the mall version, but way healthier. They’ll ask you to make this one again and again!

In our current culture of hyper smoothies, anything goes. Smoothie add-ins range from whey protein to wheatgrass to collagen.

Yeah, collagen. I’m not betting on my wrinkles miraculously disappearing by gulping smoothies. {Anything’s possible?}

Okay, so I do love me some easy Chia Seed Pudding and Tropical Green Smoothies that taste like Maui.

But I’m simple at heart, and who doesn’t have simple memories of begging our mamas for that frothy Orange Julius at the mall?  Back in my day, they included raw egg whites into our drinks, along with some powder stuff (I routinely peered over the counter and watched with fascination every single time.)

My 7-year-old self thought those teenagers had the coolest job ever. It didn’t matter what went into those superyummy Orange Julius drinks. I simply savored Every. Single. Sip.

Lucky for my Littles, I’m both simple and nostalgic. That’s how this 4-Ingredient Orange Julius Recipe happened.

It’s frothy. It’s healthy. It’s cool and scrumptious. It’s just like what you get at the mall, without going to the mall. And it takes only 5 teensy minutes to whip up…

All you need is real frozen OJ from concentrate (because it’s frozen and has bold flavor.) We use low-fat milk, but whole milk will work wonderfully for a slightly richer texture. A bit of powdered sugar and real vanilla round out the recipe.

No egg whites, no unknowns. Just simple and pure.

Somehow, these 4 little ingredients blend up all fizzy and bubbly. Your drink will stay nice and frothy for awhile, so you can sit back and sip as slowly as you want. Though it’s honestly kinda hard to sip slowly
4-Ingredient Orange Julius Recipe

I may be far from being a teenager in an Orange Julius hat, but I do have the coolest job ever.

I can toss a few great ingredients into a blender. A little orange magic happens in front of all the Little’s watchful eyes.

They don’t care what goes into their superyummy Orange Julius drinks. They simply savor Every. Single. Sip.

Ingredients
  • 12 oz frozen orange juice concentrate
  • 2 cups low fat or whole milk
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 1 cup ice cubes
